By using Pebbles you agree to these terms. Read them carefully — they describe how the app works, how subscriptions are billed, and what we are responsible for.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing and using Pebbles (“the App”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of service
Pebbles is a personal finance application that helps you track expenses, manage budgets, and monitor financial accounts. The App provides:
- Recording and categorizing transactions (manual, and AI-powered from voice, photo, or text input)
- Creating and managing budgets with period-aware allocations
- Setting and tracking savings and debt goals
- Multi-currency account tracking with live exchange rates
- Subscription tracking and billing reminders
- Statistics and spending insights
- Shared accounts with role-based access (Premium)
- Cloud sync and backup (Premium)
3. Free and Premium plans
Pebbles offers two service tiers:
3.1 Free plan
The Free plan includes manual transactions, multi-currency support, full statistics and insights, subscription tracking, up to 15 accounts, 50 categories, 1 budget, and 2 goals. Free plan data is stored locally on your device only.
3.2 Premium plan
The Premium plan unlocks the AI assistant, receipt scanning, family sharing, cloud sync and backup, unlimited accounts/categories/budgets/goals, and priority support. Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription with a 7-day free trial for annual plans.
3.3 Subscription billing
- Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store
- Annual plans include a 7-day free trial. You can cancel before the trial ends without being charged.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
- Pricing is determined by your device's App Store and may vary by region
- Refunds are handled by Apple per its refund policies
3.4 Cancellation
Cancel anytime through your device's Settings > Subscriptions. No questions asked, no hidden fees. After cancellation, Premium features remain active until the end of your current billing period. Your data remains accessible — cloud data syncs back if you re-subscribe.
4. User accounts
Certain features require authentication:
- Create an account using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Free users: signing out permanently deletes all local data (no cloud backup)
- Premium users: data is backed up to the cloud and survives sign-out
5. User data and privacy
Your financial data is stored locally on your device. Premium users who enable cloud sync have their data backed up with encryption and row-level security.
- We collect minimal personal information (email, name, profile photo)
- Financial transaction data remains on your device (or in your encrypted cloud storage for Premium)
- We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties

6. AI-powered features
Premium users have access to AI-powered financial assistance:
- AI features include transaction parsing from voice, text, and images
- AI-suggested transactions must be reviewed and approved by you before saving
- AI-generated suggestions are for informational purposes only
- We are not responsible for financial decisions made based on AI suggestions
- AI responses may not always be accurate or suitable for your situation
- AI features are subject to usage limits
7. Shared accounts
When using shared accounts (Premium):
- Account owners control who has access and can revoke at any time
- Shared users can view and contribute transactions to shared accounts
- Sharing requires both parties to have Pebbles accounts
- You are responsible for transactions you add to shared accounts
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Use the App to transmit malicious code or harmful content
- Abuse or circumvent usage limits and rate limiting
- Share Premium account credentials with others
9. Intellectual property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Pebbles and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL FUNCTION UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT RESULTS OBTAINED WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. AI-GENERATED SUGGESTIONS ARE NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE.
11. Limitation of liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL PEBBLES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL LOSSES, DATA LOSS, OR DECISIONS MADE BASED ON AI-GENERATED SUGGESTIONS.
12. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Local data on your device is not affected by account termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal remedies.
